*Ask Me*

quote-book:

“Buy a blank notebook. Draw a huge heart on the cover. Don’t write anything negative in here. If you need another outlet, make a separate notebook. This one is all about love, personal growth, and getting back up. Fill it with beautiful images, reaffirming thoughts, and quotes. Write in it every day, and each day write one thing you’re grateful for in your life.”

New Year’s Resolution: 2012.

It’s been a little while since I’ve written on Tumblr with the craziness of studying for my NCLEX exam—which I have fortunately since passed and am now a full fledged murse. Being that it’s New Year’s Day, I am listing out my customary New Year’s resolutions. It’s funny because I recently read a friend’s post which states:

“Why is everyone’s New Year’s resolution about losing weight, eating better, and becoming healthier? Can you imagine where you’d be if you started 6 months ago, when you actually thought about it? Your new years resolution should be to stop procrastinating.”

It’s so true though. And that goes for everything that you want in life. Mostly I think it’s because we feel like it’s a brand new start, a fresh beginning, and we feel like we can accomplish anything with it but instead of waiting for that fresh new start, let’s make that day today.

My 2012 New Year’s resolutions is as follows:

1. No more procrastinating.

2. Keeping your words.

3. Make a lifestyle change—be healthy and weigh 160 lbs. by the end of this year.

4. Cook better—prepare something @ least one a week.

5. Try new things and meet new people—VISIT 3 NEW PLACES THIS YEAR.

6. Save $$—no eating out and no ETOH.

7. Let go of things that I need to.

I want this year to be positive and full of growth and I am certain to push each day in making myself better. Definitely excited for the new chapters in my life that’s about to start. Let’s do this 2012!

Living Louder

Theme song for life right now. Living louder. Making mistakes. Having no regrets but having regrets themselves.

We all lose friends.

kelvinween:

We lose them in death, petty fights, distance and over time. But even though they may be lost, hope is not. The key is to keep them in your heart, and when the time is right, you can pick up the friendship right where you left off.

Even the lost find their way home when you leave the light on.

Be Uncomfortable.

“THE DEFINITION OF PRIDE is a perception that you create to feel better about yourself. If it’s a perception, it doesn’t exist. You should see what you don’t want to see, hear what you don’t want to hear, feel what you don’t want to feel. If you keep doing the same thing, you will get the same results you have been getting. THE ONLY WAY WE GROW IS BY BEING UNCOMFORTABLE.”

Character.
